The 4th event of the World Surf League (WSL) European Junior Qualifying Series (JQS), the Junior Pro Biscarrosse, has brought amazing news for the Vasque Country and of course, for Spain.
The waves weren’t that big in France, just above 1 meter, and the best in the caetgory turned out to be Nadia Erostarbe, a Spanish surfer that beat French Uhaina Joly.
In her own words: “Waves were very entertaining and as I catched two good waves at the beginning of the Final round I was safe and calm”, said Nadia as she analyzed her first win at the JQS. A win that added up to her balanced positions in previous events (5th, 3rd and 2nd), makes her become numer 1 currently in the ranking.
Now, she must go and compete again at the Junior event of Sopela, and this is how the ranking is right now:
1 – Nadia Erostarbe (EUK) 12.74
2 – Uhaina Joly (FRA) 11.24
SF 1: Uhaina Joly (FRA) 11.76 def. Anat Lelior (ISR) 7.88
SF 2: Nadia Erostarbe (EUK) 12.53 def. Ellie Turner (GBR) 10.56
European Women’s JQS Top 5:
- Nadia Erostarbe (EUK)
- Anat Lelior (ISR)
- Melania Diaz (CNY)
- Uhaina Joly (FRA)
- Ellie Turner (GBR)
