Girls turn at US VANS California 18

It’s women’s turn now. The 2018 VANS US Open is starting today and let met tell you it’s going to be massive and especially, tight ! Have you seen the current WSL ranking? Stephanie Gilmore (AUS) is 1st with 45,575 points followed by Lakey Peterson (USA) with 43,430 points. And who is on 3rd position? The girl we were talking about last year on this post. We are talking about Tatiana Weston-Webb, a super competitive Brazilian surfer that has 35,245 points which means that if she wins the VANS Open she might reach ranking number 2 as she can get 10,000 points, but it depends on the results of Peterson and Gilmore, who won’t let het step in the fight.

Far behind in 4th, 5th and 6th position are Johanne Defay (France), Tyler Wright (Australia) and Carissa Moore (Hawaii) that will want to make a good event here in Huntington Beach California. This beach in California is known for its 13,7 kms of sand and its incredible conditions for surfing. Waves here are influenced by the currents coming from Saint Catalina island.
