2012 Surferucas Festival

Because equality is everyone’s business and as the sport knows no gender, Surferucas Festival 2012 again show that women have much to say on a board riding the waves.

This great event, that started in 2008 and therefore reaches its fifth edition, will be held on Saturday 7 July at the famous beach of Somo (Cantabria).

The event, along with a big party, has a section devoted to the competition. This time included the three modalities practiced surfing, longboard and bodyboard.

In surfing the organization has included three categories (open, sub-18 and U-14), while in longboard and bodyboard there will be an open one.

But different tests are not an excuse for a holiday, in which there is a full program of activities.

All registered baptisms can enjoy free surf, bodyboard and kneeboard.

In addition, there will be a workshop Surf Art champion paint and artist, Deva Solar, and other environment with the participation of Surfrider Foundation Europe and the environmental department of the Cantabrian Surfing Federation.

At around 9 pm is scheduled to award the winners of each category and the evening will close with a concert by Deluxe Loco.
