Nike Lowers Pro 2012

The beach at Lower Trestles in San Clemente, California, will host from 1 to 5 May 2012 one of the most important events of the year: the Nike Lowers Pro 2012.

A total of 96 competitors will vie for the throne in this competition, which takes place in one of the most beautiful and complicated world, with left and right waves of world class.

Nearly hundred surfers fight for a curious spoils: the famous golden spike given to the winner of this prestigious event, taking part in the 1st Top world ranking.

The Brazilian Miguel Pupo, winner of the 2011 edition, will try to defend their title but will have tough opponents in his countrymen Gabriel Medina and Alejo Muniz.

In the event the athletes will also attend Spanish Aritz Aranburu, Hodei Collazo and Jonathan Gonzalez to fight for the prestigious award: The Golden Spike.

The representation is not complete without the best surfers arrived from Australia as Mark Occhiluppo, Adrian Buchan and Julian Wilson or without the best representatives as coming directly from Hawaii Kai Barger or the charismatic John John Florence.
