Well, well, another surprise in the 2019 World Surf League. If we all thought that somebody like Gabriel Medina or Kelly Slater would win at Tahit\u00ed, an Australian guy came and said Hey I’m here, my name is Owen Wright and I’ve just won at Teahupo’o! perhaps one of the toughest and most difficult waves in the world, in the heart of Tahiti, French Polynesia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The semifinals were comprised by Owen Wright vs Jordy Smith (South Africa) and by Gabriel Medina vs Seth Moniz (Hawaii). Wright and Medina stepped on to the Final and the Australian won with a total score of 17.07 vs 14.93 from Medina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This means that Filipe Toledo has climbed 1 position to end up 1st in the overall ranking, JOrdy Smith climbed up 4 positions and ending up 2nd. Kolohe Andino who was first now is 3rd and Gabriel Medina also climbed 3 positions to stand 4th. Beneath them are Florence, Ferreira, Igarashi and Owen Wright, current champion in Tahiti. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
