And since I was starring the whole week at the sea and there is no escape to visit Philipp and Raissa in their lovely <a href=\"https:\/\/atlantiksurf.com\/en\/cantabria-surfcamp\/\">Surfcamp in Tenerife<\/a> in sight I started checking out the local surf spots.<\/p>\n<p>Obviously there are a lot more surf spots in the Baltic but as usually in surfer\u2019s life locals first \/><\/p>\n<p>Surfing in the Baltic Sea &#8211; especially now in autumn and winter &#8211; offers some special challenges. Warnem\u00fcnde will never be Tenerife, so a thick wetsuit, cap and shoes are simply basic equipment.<\/p>\n<p>We have to keep in mind conditions too. On certain winds we would have to go to certain spots or areas and maybe have to change the spot during the day.
