Jeff Hubbard wins another tournament at 41 years old

Inverted Air by Jeff Hubbard

I don’t know about you, but it makes me very happy to see that Surfing and Bodyboarding are ageless. Since I was a kid I always had a reference in Bodyboarding and Surfing, these were Jeff Hubbard and Kelly Slater, well, these guys are 41 and 45 years old and they still win championships.

At least this is what happened very recently at the 2017 Mike Stewart Bodyboarding Invitational at Pipeline where Jeff Hubbard won first prize even after having to fight against Iain Campbell, Alex Uranga, Ben Player.

“To win something like this in front of all your friends and family, and to get chaired up the beach, there’s nothing better. It’s what you dream of, and it doesn’t get old. There’s nothing sweeter,” expressed Hubbard, who has won five Pipeline Invitational titles.

“Pipeline is the highest echelon; it always has been. It’s the best place to bodyboard on the planet, and it showed today with the level of talent incredibly high.” Stressed Hubbard who was just plethoric after winning another championship at the age of 41.

I myself am 33 years old and sometimes I feel old but it’s because we quit doing things, we surf less and less, we work more, we don’t dedicate our lives to surfing, but these guys haven’t got out of the water, it’s their way of life and I hope they keep on doing it until they pass away.

Take a look at this video from the Pipeline Invitational of March 2017:

And if you want to see some more art pieces from him and his brother just take a look at this masterpiece of Bodyboarding:
